Solar StillA solar still is used as a survival technique. The water is very clean and usable. The way to make a solar still is to dig a pit first. The pit may be around two feet deep and two feet wide. Then, you put a cup in the middle of the hole. Then you take a piece of plastic and put it over the hole. The plastic should be weighted in the middle so that it is in a V shape. There should also be a straw of hose that goes under the plastic and into the cup. What happens is that the sun will create condensation inside the hole. The plastic will catch the condensation and drop water at the bottom of the V into the cup. Then, the individual can drink the water through the straw or hose.
